Hi friend!
This episode is the second in a little mini-series I’m doing on the 3 main macronutrients. This week we’re going to be looking at protein. What is protein and why is it important? What’s the difference between animal-based proteins and plant-based proteins? And how much protein should I be eating?
This is such an important topic, especially with lots of confusing information about protein-heavy, low-carb diets flying around today. It’s also really relevant as more and more people are leaning towards plant-based diets because of environmental or ethical concerns, and want to be sure that they’re doing it right.
In fact, the most common question for vegans tends to be ‘Where do you get your protein?’ In this episode, I’ll be busting a couple of popular myths about plant-based diets and protein!

Hally is a Functional Medicine Nutrition Counselor and Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, and she shares her own journey of how she healed herself, through nutrition and prayer, from IBS, which then launched her from the world of math teaching into the world of functional medicine.
She shares many tips for how she works with clients with conditions ranging from acne to IBS to chronic fatigue and to concerns about weight loss. And finally, she talks about what it means to ‘live nourished’ and how we can know that we are living nourished!
